INNOVATION THROUGH DESIGN

What sets us apart is the application of design thinking methodology and human-centric design in every aspect of our work.

Our team is a passionate mix of real estate and architecture experts, ensuring we deliver a holistic approach pr & marketing communication, product innovation & user experience.

Design thinking method

Design thinking aims to put oneself in the user’s shoes, question assumptions, and reframe issues in a way that encourages creativity.

Design thinking is a powerful and effective approach to innovation that puts people at the centre of the design process.

By combining empathy, experimentation, and iterative problem-solving, design thinking enables teams to generate and validate new ideas that truly meet the needs of the people they are designed for.

Core principals

Design thinking is a process that delivers bulletproof ideas by balancing the principles of Desirability, Viability, and Feasibility.

Desirability: focuses on creating solutions people will love by understanding their needs and desires.

Viability: ensures that the solution is economically and technically sound.

Feasibility: ensures that the solution can be realistically brought to life.

By considering all three elements, design thinking ensures that the result is desirable but also achievable and sustainable.

Three-core processes

Bringing great ideas to life takes a balance of empathy, creativity, and action. At the heart of design thinking is a focus on people, a flexible approach to problem-solving, and a willingness to experiment. We create innovative solutions that make a difference by finding this balance.

1. Empathise with users to understand their needs, motivations, and emotions deeply. This human-centred approach sets the foundation for the rest of the design thinking process.

2. Generate a wide range of potential solutions through brainstorming and other ideation techniques. Experiment with different ideas and test the most promising solutions through prototypes and user feedback.

3. Make the solution a reality by bringing it to market. The focus is on turning the refined idea into a tangible solution, whether through creating a product, launching a service, or introducing a new process.

The process

EMPATHISE

Gather a deep understanding of users through observation and interaction. The goal is to gain insights into their needs, motivations, and emotions.

DEFINE

Clearly articulate the problem to be solved based on the insights gained in the empathise stage. It’s essential to focus on defining a specific and actionable problem.

IDEATE

Generate a wide range of potential solutions through brainstorming and other ideation techniques. The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible, regardless of their feasibility.

PROTOTYPE

Create tangible representations of the ideas generated in the ideation stage. The prototypes can be physical, digital, or even simply sketches. The goal is to bring the ideas to life and test them in a tangible form.

TEST

Validate the prototypes through feedback from users. This stage is all about learning from users, gathering data, and refining the prototypes based on that feedback.

IMPLEMENT

Turn the refined prototypes into a reality by launching the solution to the market. This step involves making the solution commercially available and ensuring it meets user needs.

Our attitude

Cooperations truly shine when there’s genuine chemistry between partners. Chemistry is the ingredient that fosters trust and innovation.

At Urban Jungle, we know that success isn’t just about skills; it’s about the values & attitude we share with our client.

Don’t sit behind the desk. Spending time in the field to observe what is happening around you can be beneficial for gaining new insights. With the help of an anthropological approach, you will uncover opportunities that have been right before your eyes.

Try to think of your environment like a visitor in a foreign land. Appreciate even the littlest details, no matter how mundane or familiar. Step into unknown territory and immerse yourself in the unknown - it will introduce you to fresh perspectives and exciting experiences.

Engage in a “Why?” inquiry to get past the superficial details and discover the core of your issue. Asking why is a great way to probe more deeply for answers.

Instead of looking at difficulties as roadblocks, try to reframe them. A creative point of view may help find the core of an issue. Shifting your perspective is often a great starting point for reaching a great outcome.

Broaden your sight. Sometimes reaching out to other sectors or nature (bio-mimicry) will bring solutions to the problem you are facing.

Get back to kindergarten. Apply children’s logic and curiosity, experiment and make mistakes.
